Lou brings nearly 30 years of innovative patient solutions to his role as Co-Principal for Capitol Medical,
where he has served as a tireless champion of Maternal/Infant Care products, an effort fueled by a
medical scare his son, Paul, encountered twenty years ago. Paul has long since recovered, however,
Lou’s commitment to improve outcomes for infants remains unchanged. Today, his expertise expands
well beyond NICU and his advocacy is an asset for nearly every hospital department.
A founding member of DandleLION, Lou was instrumental in the development of several of the
company’s patented products. He currently lends his proficiency to advisory roles on the boards of
several leading industry organizations and hones his practice participating in important educational
conferences annually including: PSA; Hot Topics; NANN; ANN; AWHOON; NLF; PLF; Graven; NANT; and
One, among others.
Lou’s dedicated approach extends to his home life as well, where he and his wife, Jennifer, are proud
parents of two adult children, Paul and Caroline. Growing up, the Casellas witnessed their father coach
little league, soccer and swimming, while also serving as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America in
addition to being a longtime member of the Bernardsville (NJ) Board of Education. A lifelong New Jersey
resident, Lou is a proud graduate of Rutgers University.
